For the money we paid, the value was exceptional and the room was cozy and comfortable. The location was perfect, with everything we needed just a short walk away. The staff, especially Geraldine, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was pleasant.

Food for breakfast could have been better.

We absolutely loved the feeling of having the entire fort to ourselves after 5pm. It was truly magical and made our stay incredibly unique. The fact that we had a big key to come and go through the main gate added to the thrill. The cottage was beautifully furnished with period furniture and details, while still offering modern amenities. We especially enjoyed having breakfast in the little outside area. The bar outside the main gates had a great atmosphere, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a drink. Geraldine, the local house manager, was always available by phone and made sure our stay was problem-free. The staff at the fort were also very friendly. And the best part was the proximity to central Cork - just a 5-minute walk downhill!

We really got great value for our money with our stay at this unique hotel. The room was beautifully furnished with delicate antique furniture and cozy beds. The location was stunning, being right in the middle of the fort, and it had easy access to the city. The staff, especially the property manager Geraldine O'Sullivan, was incredibly accommodating and made sure we had a pleasant stay.

The breakfast selection could have been better.

loved staying in this beautifully restored house within the fort, great location and walkable to everywhere in Cork. Liz was a fantastic host with lots of local knowledge. Delicate antique furniture and comfortable beds, plus a newly done bathroom with attention to detail. Highly recommend the tour of the fort.
