The food was delicious, and the staff, especially Helen, were extremely friendly and helpful. The Christmas decorations added a welcoming touch. The location by the Barrow river was magnificent, and the attention to detail in providing fresh flowers and interesting artwork made it a unique experience. We would definitely recommend this hidden gem of a hotel.

The service at this hotel was top-notch, from the moment I checked in to the moment I checked out. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. They were extremely accommodating and friendly. The room I stayed in was spacious and clean, with a large bathroom and a fantastic view of the river. The hotel amenities were also excellent, with a bar and restaurant that offered a great selection of food and drinks. The full Irish breakfast and French Toast were absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay.

We got great value for our money at this hotel. The room was lovely and the location was beautiful. The staff treated us incredibly well, from the funny man at reception to the friendly owner and the lovely lady who served us dessert.

What a great hotel! Super comfortable beds and a peaceful atmosphere made for a great night's sleep during my recent business trip. the location was also perfect, with beautiful views of the nearby river. the breakfast was fantastically fresh and delicious, with a great selection of dishes to choose from.

The shower which could have been cleaner. Despite that, the overall experience was exceptional and the friendly staff made me feel right at home.

the staff at this inn, called Lord Bagenal Inn, were friendly and welcoming. the breakfast provided a wide variety of options, including cooked-to-order dishes, fresh fruits, cheeses, and an assortment of breads. the venue itself was lovely, with a beautiful setting for weddings. I also enjoyed exploring the village and had delicious meals at the Garden Cafe at the Arboretum.
