my recent stay at the shamrock lodge in athlone was exceptional! the room was spacious, the hotel was clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. definitely exceeded my expectations and made my stay enjoyable.

I was pleasantly surprised by the modern and comfortable rooms at Shamrock Lodge. The private view of the beautiful gardens from my ground floor room was a welcome bonus. The staff were friendly and accommodating, with the owner even offering a reduced price for an extra night. The exceptional food, from the buffet breakfast to the evening meals, exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Shamrock Lodge for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Athlone.

This hotel is located in a beautiful area, surrounded by lovely gardens. The rooms, with their view on the swing, are spacious and well-equipped, including great black-out curtains and a nice bathroom. The staff provide excellent service and the disabled facilities are commendable. Breakfast, included in the prices, is excellent value and the helpful waitress even sorted my toast color for me. this hotel offers great value for money and attention to detail.

We were delighted to discover that the hotel was adjacent to a beautiful golf course, providing a picturesque backdrop for our stay. The room was spacious, clean, and bright, offering a lovely view of the well-maintained gardens. The friendly and helpful staff made us feel welcome and ensured that all our needs were taken care of. The breakfast spread was varied and tasty, with plenty of options to choose from.

Spacious car park available. Helpful and polite receptionist. Bar with ample seating. Cold, well-poured lager. Large, warm, quiet, clean bedroom. Comfy, sleep-inducing bed. Superb stay - will return.

This hotel was brilliant for our anniversary week. It was very central to the town and in walking distance to the town centre. Surrounded by green and quiet, the location looked dull but was actually peaceful. The staff were lovely and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. We would highly recommend the lodge to any bride and groom looking for a perfect wedding venue.

Spent Xmas at a hotel in the middle of nowhere and had a blast! the staff were absolutely amazing, offering complimentary mulled wine and mince pies on arrival. Despite being off the beaten track, it had easy access to nearby towns, which was perfect for exploring. the hotel had a lovely cozy atmosphere with a real fire and beautiful surroundings which made it the perfect retreat for some festive downtime.

While the hotel was lovely, the rooms were a bit dated, with dim lighting and noisy plumbing which was a bit of a letdown. the dinner menu wasn't very varied, with limited options which was a bit disappointing considering the time of year and high prices.
