We recently stayed at The Rusty Mackerel for a couple of nights and had a fantastic time. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. The cozy cabin-like rooms were a unique touch and provided a lovely and comfortable atmosphere. The bar area with the crackling fire was the perfect spot to relax after a rainy day. The freshly cooked breakfast, especially the homemade bread, was the best we had during our entire stay. The evening meal was also great, allowing us to enjoy delicious food without having to venture back out into the rain. it was an amazing experience at this charming hotel.

The Rusty Mackerel in Teelin is a fabulous place to stay for business travelers. Its fantastic location allows easy access to Sliabh League and Teelin Bay for boat trips. The rooms were comfortable and immaculately clean. The staff were super friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The delicious seafood main courses were superb, and the breakfast options were tasty and well presented. The cozy pub had a great atmosphere with brilliant live music and a lovely open fire.

It would be great if there were more gluten-free options on the menu.

The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding area, with easy access to the harbor for boat tours and parking lots for hiking. the atmosphere in the pub and bar was fantastic, creating a lively and enjoyable environment.

There were skid marks in the toilet and even a fake eyelash on the floor of the shower. It seemed like the bathroom had been neglected since the previous guests had stayed, with only the towels being changed.

Stayed at The Rusty Mackerel for 2 nights with 3 dogs. They provided a perfect room with direct outside access for our furry companions. Close to amenities and had a lovely atmosphere. The breakfast was fantastic and set us up for the day. The staff were wonderful and made us feel welcome.

Loved the rustic charm and outstanding interior of the bar area. Brilliant staff and the cleanest place we've stayed. Excellent food too. The location next to Sliagh Liag is outstanding. Will definitely be back as a backpacker.

I recently stayed at The Rusty Mackerel for one night with my sisters. Our main purpose was to hike the Cliffs of Sliabh Liag, and the location was perfect for that. The room was spacious and airy, with comfortable beds and a great shower. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The meals in the restaurant were outstanding, both dinner and breakfast. our stay was comfortable, enjoyable, and great value.

We stayed at the Rusty Mackerel for a couple of nights during our visit to the Slieve League cliffs. The hotel's location was excellent, close to the cliffs and the vibrant music sessions at the Rusty Mackerel pub. The rooms were clean, modern, and more like hotel rooms than a typical B&B. The staff were accommodating and friendly, especially for non-EU nationals. We enjoyed delicious food at the restaurant, including a tasty shellfish platter and pan-grilled hake with mashed potatoes.

The food at the restaurant was absolutely delicious, both for lunch and breakfast. the staff were friendly and efficient, making the dining experience enjoyable. the live music in the cozy setting was a highlight. Despite the cold and rainy night, the warm ambiance and talented musicians created a great atmosphere.

The room we stayed in was a bit small and basic, causing some inconvenience as we tripped over our luggage. Another downside was the confusing check-in process, as there were no signs in the pub and it was already busy.

Spotless rooms, warm atmosphere, friendly staff and locals, delicious food, brilliant craic in the pub, excellent music.
