Great value for money, with delicious food and a friendly atmosphere. The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, making our stay enjoyable from start to finish. The convenient location allowed us to easily explore the local pubs and attractions within walking distance.

The breakfast menu could have been improved with a wider variety of options to choose from.

First and foremost, this hotel is right in the center of Monaghan, making it super convenient for exploring the town. The staff here are lovely and really go the extra mile to make your stay enjoyable. The attention to detail is commendable, with little touches that make a big difference. The basic amenities are in good condition and the rooms are comfortable, especially the great four poster bed. Plus, having breakfast included and served is a definite bonus.

We had a wonderful New Year’s Eve in this centrally located hotel. the food was amazing and the staff were friendly and accommodating. the room provided great comfort with its cozy beds and clean sheets. the bathroom was also well-maintained. Another plus point was that we could easily access the amenities nearby.

Although we enjoyed the convenience of being in the heart of the city, we were disrupted by the noise from outside. the party-goers leaving the clubs nearby made it hard for us to have a peaceful night's sleep.

The room, although small, was comfortable and had everything I needed. Despite some noise from the square and other rooms, it was overall a good experience. The ground floor bar is trendy and popular, offering a lively atmosphere. The staff are friendly and courteous, going above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. The rooms are clean and well-decorated, providing a comfortable and relaxing experience. The breakfast, though passable, offers a decent start to the day.

One aspect that could be improved is the soundproofing of the rooms.

Dark room and cramped beds

We had a wonderful stay at the Westenra Arms. The hotel is centrally located and perfect for exploring the town. The receptionist was incredibly friendly and helpful, giving us great recommendations for dinner. The bar underneath the hotel had a fantastic atmosphere with great music. The staff were all very nice and the breakfast was delicious. a comfortable hotel in a great location with excellent service.
