As a senior woman, I was delighted by the exquisite decoration of the hotel. The grand architecture, beautiful furnishings, and intricate wall coverings created a truly elegant and timeless atmosphere. It felt like stepping back in time to an era of grace and sophistication. The general areas of the hotel were well-maintained and easily accessible for senior guests like myself, making it a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The only thing I would suggest for a better vacation experience for senior people is for the staff to be more attentive and considerate towards us. It would have been nice if the children working there showed more respect and kindness, catering to the specific needs of elderly guests.

The breakfast spread was delicious and had a wide variety of options to choose from. the location of the hotel was perfect. It was centrally located, making it easy to explore the surrounding area and enjoy the beautiful views of the lake.

While the room was clean, we did encounter some minor problems such as a weak shower and an air conditioning unit that wasn't powerful enough to cool the room adequately during the hot weather. We also found the prices at the bar and pool restaurant to be quite expensive compared to nearby options.

I had an incredible stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the ferry terminals, allowing for easy transportation to the islands. Being in front of the lake provided stunning views, especially during sunrise and sunset. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The breakfast spread was immense, with a variety of delicious options to choose from.

Located right on the lake side with beautifully kept gardens, this hotel is a special place that takes you back to the glorious times of the region. The rooms are well-maintained and the breakfast is good. The outdoor pool and spa area are perfect to help you unwind after exploring the nearby surroundings. With gorgeous views of the hills and mountains, it's the perfect place to experience the elegance of a bygone era.

We recently stayed at a beautiful old fashioned hotel with stunning grounds and a great location. the hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful, making our stay enjoyable. Our room was a good size with a spacious bathroom and a balcony overlooking the beautiful grounds. the soundproofing in the room was excellent, providing a peaceful environment. We also loved the fact that the hotel had blackout curtains and shutters, ensuring a restful sleep. the pool area was lovely, and we were easily able to find a sunbed. we had a great experience at this hotel.

There were a few aspects that we didn't enjoy. the air conditioning in our room wasn't cold enough, no matter what setting we adjusted it to.

The Grand Hotel Des Iles Borromees & Spa is a beautiful property with a perfect location. The décor is lovely, and the food is great. The staff, including the concierge and wait staff, are extremely pleasant and helpful. The hotel is mostly frequented by older couples, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.

Fine Italian cuisine served in elegant and immaculate spaces. Luxurious rooms furnished tastefully with all amenities, including a private balcony. The spa is outstanding with top-notch facilities and exceptional treatments.

The location of the hotel is absolutely stunning, with the lake just across the road and a breathtaking view to wake up to. The proximity to "downtown" Stresa is a great advantage, as it allows easy access to shopping and a variety of restaurants in a charming setting.
