I had an incredible stay at the Romantic and Historical Hotel Akropolis in Taranto. The owner, being friendly and knowledgeable, took me on a tour of the hotel's restoration, revealing fascinating layers of history. The area surrounding the hotel, with its abandoned buildings and ongoing revitalization, exuded an air of romance and former grandeur. My room was tastefully decorated, with beautiful mosaic floors and a comfortable bed ensuring a good night's sleep. The terrace restaurant on the top floor offered stunning 360-degree views of the historic center, while the breakfast included organic fruit. The helpful receptionist assisted me in locating a rental car, and the locals I encountered on the streets were friendly and directed me towards interesting buildings. I highly recommend staying at the Akropolis.

We had a truly amazing experience staying at this place. The location in the old historic center was absolutely perfect and allowed us to easily explore the vibrant surroundings. The staff provided excellent service, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. We were impressed by the attention to detail in the design of the hotel, as it seamlessly integrated ancient elements into a modern structure. The owner's personal touch, providing a brief history of the city and a tour of the hotel's interesting features, made our stay even more special.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel is located in the historical center, surrounded by vibrant ancient architecture. One guest mentioned the position as "exciting" and "vibrant". The hotel has a nicely restored design, maintaining ancient elements to give it character. The rooms are comfortable and clean, with air conditioning, heating, and plenty of hot water. There is also a restaurant downstairs and a roof terrace with panoramic views. The hotel offers a secure parking spot and top-notch service. One guest even received a detailed background history tour from the owner.

The surrounding area of the hotel is in decay and falling down.

We stumbled across this hotel when we were stranded in the old town and were pleasantly surprised. the staff was incredibly welcoming and helped with our parking. the location of the hotel was perfect, close to all the historic sites and easy to get around on foot. the breakfast was excellent, especially the freshly baked croissants and delicious coffee. we enjoyed our stay and were glad we found this hidden gem.

The room was a bit outdated and could have used some modernization. the hotel was difficult to find and the narrow streets in the old town made it a bit challenging to get to.
