Picchio, located close to the train station and the Funicular, was the perfect choice for my trip. the owner, Joanna, was incredibly sweet and spoke excellent English. the hotel was spotless and the staff were friendly and accommodating. I particularly enjoyed the delicious homemade pastries that were featured in the breakfast buffet.

We had a great stay at this lovely little hotel. The location was perfect for exploring the Orvieto area, with easy access to the funicular and just below the old town. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a balcony offering a great view. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant stay. The breakfast was a highlight, with a variety of delicious options including homemade cakes and a range of traditional Italian breakfast items. the hotel provided facilities for storing our bicycles and allowed us to leave our bags after checkout for our early train departure the next morning.

The price was still reasonable and it did not greatly impact our stay.

The location of this hotel is great, near the train station in Orvieto Scalo and just a short walk to the funicular that takes you up to the beautiful town of Orvieto. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially Nona who was in charge of breakfast. The rooms were big and comfortable, with balconies offering magnificent views of the hilltop Orvieto on one side and the stunning Umbrian landscape on the other. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise, with a variety of 12 freshly baked cakes by Mrs Picchio herself.

The hotel is located on a fairly steep hill, providing beautiful views of the surrounding Italian village. The rooms are spacious and have balconies overlooking the picturesque scenery. The attention to detail is evident, with all the amenities necessary for a pleasant stay. The breakfast spread includes a variety of homemade pastries that are simply delicious.

We had a fantastic stay at Picchio! the location was perfect, just a short walk from the train station and the funicular to the old town. Our room was beautifully furnished and had the most comfortable bed we've ever slept on in Italy. the breakfast spread was delicious, with homemade cakes, cheese, hams, and great coffee. the owner even went above and beyond by driving us to the station when it started pouring rain. We highly recommend this accommodation.

I had such a wonderful stay at this charming hotel. the service was incredibly caring and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. the location was perfect, just a short walk to the train station and the funicular that takes you up to the old town. the room was beautifully appointed and the bed was the comfiest I've encountered in Italy. I had a great night's sleep after many uncomfortable beds in other places. the breakfast was absolutely delicious, with homemade cakes, cheese, hams, bread, croissants. To top it all off, the owner even drove us to the station in the pouring rain.

The rooms are spacious with balconies providing breathtaking views of the town and the surrounding countryside. The staff is friendly and helpful, providing excellent service and recommendations for dining and sightseeing. The buffet breakfast is plentiful and delicious, featuring a variety of cakes, pastries, meats, and cereals. Plus, secure underground parking is available for a nominal fee.

The shower could use some updating, as it drips water when not in use.

The staff was incredibly helpful and provided great suggestions for dinner. They also gave me recommendations for 24-hour parking at a cheap rate of only 1 euro. They were knowledgeable about what to see in the area, especially in Orvieto, and how to get there easily. the breakfast at the hotel was abundant and delicious. I stayed in the new building across the road and my room had a lovely shared terrace. the secure underground parking for 5 euro was a bonus. one of my favorite towns to visit!

staying in orvieto was amazing, but hotel picchio made it even better. the room was spacious, modern, and clean with the best bathroom of our trip. the air conditioning worked well and the breakfast with homemade pastries was excellent. the location near the train station and tram was really convenient.
