This hotel is in the perfect location, close to everything you want to see in this historical area. It's situated in a cave, just like the rest of the buildings in Matera, giving it an authentic and unique feel. The hotel is located right by the church at the top of the hill, offering stunning views. The staff are attentive and provide great service, going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The basic amenities in the rooms, including the shower, are well-maintained. Lastly, the breakfast they offer is delicious and a great way to start your day.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! The location couldn't have been better - right down at the bottom of the hill in the centre of the old town. The hotel's unique setting in a converted cave added to the charm and authenticity of our experience. Plus, being right next to the unique church was a bonus.

There was nothing we didn't like.

The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. the breakfast was tasty and offered a good selection of food. the location was near many tourist attractions, and we didn't need to travel far to take part in Easter festivities.

The room was too small for our liking, and we could hear everything that was going on in the other rooms. the shower was tiny, and the hot water didn't last long enough for us to both shower.

We had a wonderful stay at a great place in a unique setting! Communication before and during our stay was excellent. the hosts at Le Dimore Dell' Idris were fantastic, going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Despite being on crutches, they helped transport our bags and provided us with a map and recommendations for top spots to visit. They even arranged a taxi for us to a fantastic gluten-free restaurant. the room was clean and comfortable, with surprising features like a sauna steam room in the shower. the breakfast offered a wide range of options, including gluten-free choices. the location was also convenient for exploring the main tourist sites in the area.
