Although it does require a short taxi ride to the local shopping precinct, I found it to be conveniently located for my needs. The hotel itself is quite grand and must have been popular back in the 80s, as it still maintains a certain charm. The staff were friendly and welcoming, providing excellent service throughout my stay.
