From discounted lift tickets to free transfers and helpful local tips, the service exceeded expectations. the traditional Japanese-style rooms were comfortable and the easy access to the town and ski slopes added to the overall positive experience. improvements could be made in terms of the cleanliness of certain facilities, such as the onsen.

The soba noodles at the nearby Udon No Fu were insanely good, like a flavor explosion in my mouth. the warm and welcoming atmosphere at Akakura Wakui was a real treat. Daisuke and his family's hospitality exceeded all expectations.

It's like the hotel is entering its vintage phase—the onsen could use a bit of a spruce-up. Despite mixed reviews on meals, the unique offerings in the area made up for it.

The hot springs were even better in person, and I can't wait to go back! the view was breathtaking, much better than the photos. Would DEFINITELY choose this place again.

The room was cozy with a traditional Japanese touch - loved the tatami flooring and futon bedding. As a foreign tourist, it made me feel immersed in the local culture.

Our room at Akakura Wakui had a lovely traditional Japanese design with a comfortable tatami area and a private bathroom. the onsen, although in the basement, provided a relaxing soak after a day on the slopes. Only downside: the onsen area needed a thorough cleaning. a cozy stay with convenient amenities.

The staff here are exceptional! Daisuke and his family go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. Daisuke personally drove us to nearby resorts, provided discounted lift tickets, and even helped with reservations for dinner. the traditional Japanese breakfast prepared by Mari was delicious, and the onsen experience was relaxing. the room was cozy, combining traditional Japanese and Western elements, making it a unique and comfortable stay.

One area for improvement could be the maintenance of the onsen facilities. While spacious, it would benefit from a thorough cleaning to enhance the overall experience.
