i loved that there were picnic tables on the rooftop with nice views. the bathrooms are a bit cramped and could use improvements.

Had a sweet time, but the shared bathrooms can get busy as. The staff were lovely, and the breakfast was top-notch. Totally recommend the private jacuzzi, it's well worth it!

During my stay, I was quite irritated by how noisy it was. The rooms are incredibly small, making it tough to maneuver with even limited luggage. Plus, there was an odd drain smell in some of the toilet cubicles that was genuinely off-putting. I expected a tranquil environment, but that was definitely not the case.

I appreciated the cozy rooftop view and how the staff provided maps and etiquette tips for local Sento experiences, enriching my cultural understanding of Japan. The free flow of coffee and tea was a nice touch, too.

Staying at Andon Ryokan was like being welcomed into a friend’s home. The hosts, Taka and his mom, are incredibly warm. Breakfast, especially the Japanese-style one, was delightful—don’t skip it! Also, the free welcome drink at check-in was a nice touch.

However, I found the room quite snug with two suitcases. If you have larger luggage, you might struggle with space. Plus, thin walls meant I heard some snoring from next door. Just pack light and enjoy the peaceful ambiance.

Staying in this unique spot gave us a taste of pre-boom Tokyo life, with its low-rise homes and friendly locals. The communal areas had a warm vibe, perfect for relaxing after a day out with my kids. The onsen was a hit.

ok so i had the best time at andon ryokan! the staff are super friendly and make u feel at home. loved having breakfast outside with a nice view, and the free jacuzzi was perfect after a long day. the vibe is really chill, and i met some cool people there. it’s close to minowa station which made getting around easy!

but honestly, the rooms are kind of small for bigger luggage, and the shared bathrooms can get a bit busy sometimes.
