I got great value for my money at Bosenkan! The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and had a lovely view of the garden. The staff, especially Joan, were incredibly helpful and made my stay even more enjoyable. The location was perfect, with a shuttle service from the train station and a picturesque walk through the town.

The breakfast selection could have been improved with more variety.

My stay at a hotel in Gero was fantastic. The room was spacious, clean, and had a stunning view of the river, mountains, and railways. The friendly staff provided excellent service, and the onsen was top-notch. Even though the hotel looked a bit dated, it was well-maintained. The location was a bit uphill from the train station, but the hotel offered a 600 JPY taxi service, which was totally worth it. The staff also provided free taxis and shuttle buses to and from the station. I loved the quietness of the area, and the staff even offered umbrellas when it looked like rain. The lobby was spacious and great for lounging, and the onsen was easily accessible. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Gero.

The location of this place is not very near the station, but it is still okay to reach by train. The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable sitting area and all the necessary amenities. The staff here are very helpful and provide excellent service. They even offer a free shuttle service to the station when you check out. The onsen here is a top-notch experience, with both indoor and outdoor baths. The open-air onsen is especially enjoyable, allowing you to relax while soaking in the natural surroundings. the service and facilities at this place are exceptional.

We had a fantastic stay in a large Japanese-style room with beautiful views of the mountains and gardens below. The room was spacious, with plenty of cupboard space and a separate bathroom and toilet. The staff were attentive and made up our bed in the evening. The 24-hour onsen facilities were a highlight, both indoor and outdoor baths were great for relaxation. The Japanese-style breakfast was delicious, with traditional dishes served in our private dining room. Plus, the hotel was conveniently located near the old street and very close to the center of town.

The hotel room showed some signs of being outdated, but it didn't really bother us during our stay.

I had a wonderful stay at Bosenkan in Gero. The variety of food at dinner and breakfast was great, especially the fresh seafood. I loved the peaceful garden and the charming old town setting. And after dinner, taking a stroll was such a delight. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel in a convenient location! The hotel had all the facilities we needed and more. The highlight was definitely the onsens, both indoor and outdoor. Even though the hotel had a larger number of rooms, the onsens were never overly crowded. The outdoor onsen for men was especially enjoyable. The meals served in private dining rooms were delicious and the service was excellent. We also had the option to book and pay for a private onsen, which was a nice additional touch.

The hotel is showing its age a bit, especially in the bathing area. It could use a bit of a makeover.

Had an amazing Christmas break! the hot water bath was absolutely divine, and the fact that it was open 24 hours was such a treat! the staff was so professional and made us feel so welcomed. the food was delicious, and we enjoyed having both breakfasts and dinner included. We also loved that they had ice water available after our onsen, which was a thoughtful touch. the location was perfect and easy to get to, with great transportation options nearby. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the rooms, which were very comfortable.

While the furniture in the traditional Japanese style room was a bit old, it was still charming and didn't really detract from our overall experience. the only downside was that the railroad was close by, and it was a little noisy.

The lobby area is spacious and great for lounging around. The view from the room, especially of the river, is pretty good. the stay exceeded my expectations.
