We had an amazing experience at a traditional Ryokan near Gora station. the hotel's beautiful Japanese-style yard and separate small buildings connected by corridors added to the authentic charm. the highlight of our stay was definitely the dinner and breakfast. the food was incredibly fresh and expertly cooked. We especially loved the traditional nine-course dinner with sashimi, gohan, cooked fish, wagyu beef, and accompanying apeiritfs. Breakfast was a delightful spread of fish, rice, and fruit. And the best part? Our room had a personal onsen, allowing us to enjoy a hot spring bath at any time of day. It truly felt like a luxurious treat.

gora kansuiro exceeded our expectations during our stay in hakone. the spacious room with personal onsen was so relaxing. the staff were kind and helpful, even with the language barrier. the traditional japanese meals were delicious and the immersion into japanese culture was unforgettable.

We were pleasantly surprised by the great hospitality during our Easter weekend stay. the staff went out of their way to help us with directions and recommendations. the complementary breakfast and Wi-Fi were an added bonus. It was nice to find an accommodation that was located close to the local transit hub, making it easy to get around.

Although the room was cozy, we found the futon uncomfortable. It was especially difficult for taller or heavier guests to get a good night's sleep.

Our cozy room was kept warm, even in the cold weather outside. We particularly enjoyed the open air bath and the one in our room. the whole experience felt special, with antique furniture and Michelin-level Japanese cuisine. It was exactly what we were looking for as a more memorable and traditional ryokan experience. the location, just a short walk from the train station, was convenient too.
