Our stay at Hanaikada was delightful. the traditional ryokan-style hotel offers fantastic hot spring baths, delicious Japanese cuisine, and exceptional hospitality. Located near Togetsukyo Bridge, it provides stunning views of the river. the traditional kaiseki dinner featured fresh local ingredients, creating a true Japanese culinary experience. the rooftop onsen at sunset was a highlight, offering a mesmerizing view of the Katsura river.

During our stay at Hanaikada, we were delighted to have a room with a stunning view facing the river and the iconic Bridge Togetsu-kyo of Arashiyama. The proximity to the bamboo forest and Tenryo-ji temple allowed us to immerse ourselves in the breathtaking beauty of nature. Additionally, the friendliness of the staff made us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout our visit. The highlight of our stay was the exceptional quality and presentation of the meals, which left a lasting impression. The Japanese traditions were truly remarkable. We loved sleeping in the comfortable traditional Japanese beds and the onsen was a unique experience. the location of the hotel was perfect, as it was close to several attractions and restaurants. We enjoyed the traditional Japanese cuisine they served and the hot spring was definitely a highlight of our trip.

The room we stayed in was a bit small for our family, making it hard to move around. we had a great Christmas experience at the hotel, but these small issues can be improved upon.
