The location is perfect, right in the middle of the tourist area. The hotel offers 4 private onsens, 2 outdoors and 2 indoors, where you can enjoy a hot spring bath for 40 minutes with a reservation at the front desk. It's a great experience for hot spring lovers in Japan.

The staff at Yufuin Onsen Hinoharu Ryokan made me feel very welcome and were always willing to help with anything I needed during my stay.

The location of the hotel was perfect for our city trip, being just a short stroll away from the main shopping and eating area. It was great to be able to easily explore the shops and restaurants nearby without having to travel far. Additionally, the private onsens at the hotel were a highlight. We loved being able to relax and unwind in our own private outdoor and indoor onsens. It was a wonderful experience and we never had any issues getting one each time we wanted to use it.

While some dishes were good, there were a couple that were lacking in taste. Considering the price of the hotel, we had expected a higher quality of food.

As trekkers and a group of friends, we loved the traditional Japanese experience at Hiruhana. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the FUDON provided a comfortable and relaxing sleep. We were impressed with the exceptional service, especially when one of our friends lost her baby's bath toy - the staff went above and beyond to retrieve it for us. The location is perfect, close to Kinrin Lake and the main shopping street of Yufuin. The private ryokan and the outdoor rock garden hot spring added to our authentic Japanese experience.

Great location, just a short walk away from the popular shopping area and easily accessible by public transportation. The traditional bedding provided was extremely comfortable and offered a more authentic experience. The staff were welcoming and helpful, going above and beyond to assist us, even making a special effort to return a lost item. Finding the hotel proved to be a challenge with a rented car, despite having GPS. The property could benefit from placing a more visible sign along the main road for better directions.
