The window in the room didn't open, which was a bit disappointing because I love fresh air. And even though the hotel was in a good location, it didn't quite capture the essence of Kyoto.

The hotel's location is fantastic! It's a stone's throw away from a local market, and conveniently located between two train stations. the hotel amenities such as the public bathroom and onsen are well-maintained and clean. we appreciated the complementary Wi-Fi and the thoughtful design of the bathroom.

The room was pretty small for two people, making it feel cramped and tight. the hospitality concierge could have been friendlier and more accommodating to foreign guests, as we felt unwelcome and confused when requesting dinner reservations.
