I recently stayed at a charming hotel close to the coast, with a superb location on top of a hill. The Japanese-style rooms were clean, spacious, and had private toilets. The staff was friendly and provided excellent service, even going the extra mile to keep guests' shoes organized. The Japanese breakfast was delicious, and the hotel had a wonderful onsen with both indoor and outdoor pools. The view of the ocean from the onsen was breathtaking, and the atmosphere of the hotel was peaceful and relaxing.

Although the staff at the hotel were friendly, there was a limited English-speaking staff available, which could be a problem for non-Japanese speakers.

Excellent dinner, good value, lovely location by the coast, hotel shuttles, local bus to Hell Valley, friendly staff.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel on a hill with breathtaking views of the ocean. The scenic location provided a tranquil atmosphere that was perfect for relaxation. The rooms with private onsens overlooking the sea were simply stunning. The staff were extremely attentive and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort.

The location and scenery at Hotel Izumi were absolutely stunning. Being nestled in the mountains provided a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere for our stay. The outdoor hot spring offered breathtaking views of nature, especially when enjoyed in the snow. The traditional Japanese style of the hotel added to the overall charm and authenticity. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable, with staff going above and beyond to make sure everything was in order. We appreciated the attention to detail, such as having our shoes cleaned and stored in the shoe rack room. The hotel's proximity to the JR station and the convenience of the free shuttle service made transportation easy. The food at the hotel was exceptional, with both breakfast and dinner being delicious and satisfying. we had a delightful stay at Hotel Izumi and would highly recommend it to others.

Stunning south-facing view of the jalan sea from rooms. Onsen open all night with cleaning break from 9am-12pm. Friendly staff and spacious, comfortable rooms. Breakfast and dinner included with generous servings.

We were delighted with the stunning views that we could enjoy from the hotel. We had a good time soaking in the cozy onsen which was great for relaxation. the food served here was delicious and the service was spot on. We loved the traditional Japanese cuisine served.

One of the drawbacks was that the place seemed a little old-fashioned and needs updating. the staff didn't speak much English, which made communication difficult at times.
