The onsen at the hotel was quite old and run down, with noticeable erosion in the pool area. Additionally, when we returned to the hotel late in the evening, there was no staff available.

We got great value for our money at Hotel Parkway. The room was spacious and comfortable, and we loved the beautiful mountain scenery right outside our door. The staff treated us well and made us feel welcome.

Breakfast delights could have been better with fresher fish and less salt.

I especially loved the onsen, both indoor and outdoor pools were a perfect way to relax after a day of hiking in Akan National Park. The location was also very convenient, being close to the train station and just a short distance from the observatory overlooking Lake Mashu.

During our Christmas stay, we were impressed by the friendly and helpful staff. the hotel's location near Kawayu Onsen station was also a plus, making it convenient for us to explore the area. Additionally, the set menu dinner provided by the hotel was absolutely delicious and one of the best meals we had during our time in Hokkaido.

One of the downsides of our stay at this hotel was the lack of private bathrooms. We had to use the public bathing area, which only had showers and no conditioners.
