Situated near several great temples, the location was perfect for exploring the area. the staff were attentive and helpful, and the traditional Japanese breakfast with seasonal variations was a unique and authentic experience.

During my Christmas stay, I enjoyed the traditional Japanese breakfast, which varied daily, offering an authentic experience. the peaceful garden and amazing location added to the charm of the stay. the Shabu Shabu dinner was a highlight, truly fabulous, accompanied by very kind staff.

The Ryokan felt a bit outdated, with limited climate control and a small onsen, suitable for only a few people. the early 10 AM checkout time was inconvenient, and meal times were fixed, requiring planning to avoid missing out on the delicious Japanese cuisine.

Serene location, surrounded by temples. Friendly staff offered early check-in, spacious room with private garden/spa. Tasty, generous portioned meals. Impeccable service throughout. A true gem for a peaceful stay in the mountains.
