our stay at the guesthouse in Tanabe was amazing! Simon, our host, was incredibly thoughtful and even provided transportation to the trailhead. The traditional space was clean and had everything we needed. The location offered beautiful views of the mountains, orchards, and sea. We highly recommend it!

The value for money at this guesthouse was excellent! The room was clean and spacious, and the beautiful mountain scenery provided a perfect backdrop. The staff treated us so well, with the host going above and beyond to pick us up and drop us off at the start of the Kumano Kodo trail. Their hospitality and local knowledge made our stay truly wonderful.

The food for breakfast could have been better, with just one thing that could have made it even more enjoyable.

I got great value for my money at Kumano Kodo Nagano Guesthouse! The room was spacious and comfortable, and the location was peaceful with beautiful views. The staff, especially Simon and his wife, were incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout my stay. They even picked me up from the station and dropped me off at the trailhead for the Kumano Kodo.

The hotel breakfast menu could have been improved.

We were greeted with warm hospitality and the hosts were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The traditional Japanese farmhouse was beautifully renovated and provided a stunning view of the mystical mountain valley. The room was clean, spacious, and authentically decorated. We especially appreciated the tea and coffee set-up. Additionally, the host, Simon, went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and convenience. He personally picked us up and even helped us navigate the bus schedule. we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this guesthouse.

While our stay was excellent, we did encounter a couple of minor drawbacks. the futons provided were quite thin and not very comfortable, which led to some muscle stiffness.
