Although not within walking distance from most places, the subway station is just a short walk away, and there is a bus stop nearby as well. This made it convenient for us to explore the city.

The hotel had a strange smell in the non-smoking room that we were assigned, even though it was on a non-smoking floor. We requested to move to another room, but unfortunately, the hotel was fully booked.

I lost a small earring in my room, but the staff at Garden Palace went above and beyond to help me. They searched carefully and actually found it in their vacuum cleaner! I was truly impressed by their dedication and effort. The room itself was small, which seems to be the norm in Kyoto, but it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast provided was delicious and the overall experience was pleasant. I would recommend this hotel.

Additionally, the staff's proficiency in English was a great help, and the option to purchase bus/train tickets on site along with a handy route map made exploring Kyoto a breeze. The fast and free internet in the lobby was also a bonus. I had a fantastic experience at Kyoto Garden Palace and would highly recommend it.
