Tasty breakfast with limited choices.

We had an amazing stay at Itoya in Kyoto. the hotel was impeccably clean and the staff, although not all fluent in English, were incredibly helpful and friendly. the location was perfect, with easy access to buses and the subway, and it was just a short walk to the popular Gion district. the rooms were beautifully designed and had thoughtful extras like face cloths, toothbrushes, and even PJs! We also loved the cozy lounge area with a great selection of books about Kyoto.

The room is equipped with a fridge and complimentary bottles of water, which is a nice touch. The separate toilet room adds convenience. From the hotel, it is easy to explore interesting areas and the main shopping area of the city.

The lack of natural light in some rooms may be disappointing for those who prefer brighter spaces.

As a disabled traveler, I appreciated the spacious rooms and immaculate cleanliness of Kyoto Itoya Hotel. The deep, clean bathtub and comfortable beds with down comforters were a highlight. The location was convenient, with a bus stop just opposite the road that took me back to Kyoto station. I also enjoyed the proximity to Komeda's Coffee house for a great breakfast. The staff, particularly the manager, Hideki Hasegawa, provided exceptional service, helping me locate a friend I hadn't seen in 27 years.
