Great value for the money, room was spacious and comfortable. Location overlooking the mountain was stunning, staff were helpful and friendly.

The breakfast option could use more variety.

During my recent business trip, my director chose Lotte Arai Resort and I had the pleasure of staying there. the resort sits beautifully in front of a majestic mountain with excellent ski facilities. the staff, while not all fluent in English, were friendly and accommodating. the room I stayed in was spacious and clean, exuding a stylish charm despite aging decor. the onsen facilities were a highlight, with both indoor and outdoor options available.

Lotte Arai Resort is quite expensive for its basic hospitality.

We enjoyed the convenient door-to-door ski service. Breakfast was very good and the staff had an excellent service mind. the comfortable beds and onsen were highlights of our stay. the hotel’s free transportation and special discounts on lift tickets added to the positive experience.

Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

We stayed for a family winter holiday and enjoyed the ski, in, ski, out convenience. the dinner set prices were consistent across all restaurants, offering delicious food with helpful staff. A complimentary shuttle to Jyoetsu, Myoko station was a nice touch. Our 3 adjoining rooms in a private wing made us feel special, and the resort's amenities, from the gondola to the snow school, were top, notch.

Terrible food and lack of nearby amenities.

I had a fantastic time at Lotte. The ski slopes were perfect for beginners like me, and the new ski sets from the Rental Shop were top-notch. The onsen bathing facilities were extremely clean, and the indoor and outdoor sections were a great way to relax after a day on the slopes. The library was a hidden gem with an extensive art and architecture section, and the library cafe was a winner. The shuttle bus drivers were friendly and helpful, despite the language barrier. I highly recommend this resort for a memorable skiing and winter experience.

The location of the resort is great, being close to the Akakura Onsen village where guests can explore various shops and restaurants. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, with good bathrooms and comfortable beds. The service at the resort is attentive and courteous, with staff trying their best to assist guests. Additionally, the breakfast offered at the resort provides a variety of choices to suit different preferences.

The resort lacks a kids club or child-minding service for older children, making it challenging for parents to enjoy activities while supervising their kids.

Aesthetically pleasing resort, easy to explore. Lovely hotel, wonderful staff. Great skiing, off-piste trails. Fantastic ski facilities. Enjoyable dinners and onsen. More spacious rooms in the Lodge. Accommodating for large groups. Fun sports pub for parents and kids. Kids love the climbing gym and trampolines. Beautiful onsen.

This hotel has exclusive amenities that will satisfy even the most demanding guest.

The indoor swimming pool was crowded and required more staff to take care of it. It would be better if the hotel had a BBQ area or a picnic table to enjoy outdoor activities.

Exceptionally clean rooms, amazing staff, wonderful pool and onsen. Handy bus shuttles, relaxing library, fantastic ski locker storage. Delicious bakery pastries and great for families with small children.
