We were fortunate enough to stay at Mercure in Takayama during their grand opening, and it was a truly memorable experience. We also loved the complimentary private onsen, which we indulged in every night. The breakfast buffet was superb, offering a wide variety of options. we couldn't have asked for a better stay and we highly recommend this hotel.

Although we enjoyed the complimentary public bath, it would have been nice to have a bathtub in the room. the elevator could use more operating lifts to reduce waiting times.
