I had such great value for my money at this guesthouse! The room was perfect, cozy and clean, and I loved the traditional Japanese futon bed. The location was ideal, just a short walk from the ferry and right near Momijidani Park. The staff at Miyajima Guest House Mikuniya treated me like family, giving me helpful tips and making sure I felt welcome throughout my stay.

The food for breakfast could have been better, maybe with a bit more variety or some local specialties.

We recently stayed at the Miyajima Guest House Mikuniya for a short visit to explore the beauty of the island. The guest house exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the owner who ensured we found the guest house easily. The serene and clean Japanese-style house had a lovely garden view from the glass-walled sala where we could relax and play musical instruments. The provision of drinking water, coffee, and bread every morning was a delightful touch. The guest house also had ample shower areas and well-equipped rooms. a complete, cozy, and affordable experience.

Mikuniya is the perfect place to experience authentic Japanese hospitality. the owner made us feel like family, even teaching my kids how to write their names in Japanese. the location is ideal, situated between the main temples and the Mt Misen gondola. the guest house is well-maintained, tidy, and exudes a traditional ambiance. It offers great views, fun activities, and a kitchen stocked with various breakfast options. I highly recommend staying at Mikuniya for a few nights to fully appreciate the island.

We had a fantastic stay at this guest house. The hotel facilities were excellent, with a spacious lounge area where we could watch TV and play games. The kitchen was well-equipped and stocked with drinks and snacks for purchase. The traditional Japanese room was very spacious and had a beautiful view. We also enjoyed the private hot bath facility. The staff, especially the manager, was incredibly nice and helpful. They provided us with a map and gave us detailed explanations of less known attractions on the island. The location was perfect, as we could easily walk from the ferry and explore the island.

One negative aspect was the distance from the ferry, which required a 15-minute walk. the guesthouse was not always listed on maps of hotels, making it hard to find.

the hotel manager, Jnr, was extremely helpful and friendly. He gave us great tips on what to do during our short stay and even introduced us to other guests staying at the guesthouse. the traditional Japanese futon beds provided a comfortable night's sleep, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful. I loved the charming cat that roamed around the premises. the guesthouse itself is beautiful and conveniently located on Miyajima Island. the father and son who run the guesthouse were incredibly welcoming and provided many extra touches such as complimentary beverages, a variety of breakfast options, and activities like calligraphy and origami in the communal area. the common room, kitchen, and bathroom were spacious, clean, and well-equipped. the beautiful garden in the back with the tanuki family was a lovely place to relax.
