I recently stayed at a unique hotel and it was one of the best accommodation experiences I have ever had. The place is situated on a narrow street surrounded by other similar buildings, making it a very quiet and peaceful area. The staff were very helpful and the housekeeping/ laundry services were of superb quality. The terrace had a lovely view and it was great to be able to relax out there after a busy day. The leisure garden and lounge area were also fantastic to unwind and relax in.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Tome-san and her husband were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make our experience exceptional. the traditional Japanese room was comfortable and spotlessly clean, with a lovely shower and tasteful decor. the breakfast options were delicious and served with big smiles. What truly made this ryokan stand out was the exceptional service from our hosts. They provided valuable recommendations and assistance, making sure we had the best experience exploring Kyoto. We can't recommend this ryokan enough!

They went above and beyond with their welcoming and local knowledge, making me feel like family. the room was authentic and clean, offering a shadowy warmth that was inviting. I enjoyed the refreshing tea and Japanese biscuits, which were offered every time I entered the building. the ideal location, with major bus routes only a brief 2 min stroll away and the subway within walking distance, made getting around the city a breeze. Plus, they had free bikes to borrow for the day! Summing up, it's the perfect place if you want to feel welcomed, local, and well-located.

The owner, Tomo, provided excellent recommendations for off-the-beaten-path attractions and even organized a bike for us to explore the city. The location was ideal for exploring Kyoto's hidden streets and the famous Golden Pavilion. I highly recommend this amazing ryokan.
