The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, providing genuine advice and making me feel welcome. The hotel facilities were clean and comfortable, and the traditional Japanese table with a heating blanket downstairs was a great place to meet other travelers.

We had a wonderful stay at a cozy and welcoming guesthouse just steps away from Tobu Nikko station. the staff were friendly and provided us with useful information about exploring Nikko Park. the beds were comfortable and private, thanks to the curtains provided. the kitchen was well equipped, and there was a supermarket nearby for any necessary supplies. We also enjoyed a fun Hanami party during our visit. we had a lovely, warm, and comforting experience at Guesthouse Sumica.

We stayed at a guesthouse in Nikko and had an amazing experience. the couple who owns the guesthouse were incredibly generous and helpful, providing us with great advice on things to do in the area. They made sure we had everything we needed and even took us to see fireflies and a natural onsen. the guesthouse is conveniently located near the train and bus stations, making it easy to explore the city.

The location couldn't be better, with easy access to both train stations in the city. It was also very convenient for visiting the tourist attractions, as the buses were just a stone's throw away. Despite being close to the railway tracks, the hotel was surprisingly quiet. The staff were incredibly warm and friendly, making me feel like part of their family. They even treated me to a delicious dinner. The hotel facilities were basic but spotlessly clean, and I was able to leave my bags before and after check-in.

The staff at this hostel were absolutely mind-blowing! They were super friendly and welcoming, and had jaw-dropping knowledge of the local area. They even handed out free treats and gave me a free bus ticket! The common area was a lovely place to relax, with lots of books on Japan. The free coffee/tea was a bonus. The hostel felt like a comfortable and homely place to stay. The location was perfect, right next to the train and bus stations and local shops.

guesthouse sumica was absolutely perfect for our family holiday in nikko. from the friendly and helpful staff to the convenient location near the train and bus stations, everything exceeded our expectations. the cozy and traditional atmosphere, along with the well-equipped kitchen, made our stay even more enjoyable. we will definitely choose to stay at guesthouse sumica again if we come back to nikko.

I had a fantastic stay at this guesthouse! The location is perfect, just in front of the train station. It's so convenient for transportation, especially for catching the buses to the heritage sites and lake. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and they even let me leave my bag at the hotel after checkout. The cleanliness of the hotel was top-notch, from the clean beds and pillows to the spotless bathroom. this hotel had all the facilities I needed for a comfortable stay.

Geweldig geslapen in een prachtige ruime kamer, midden in een groen park met gratis parkeergelegenheid. Het historische gebouw heeft mooie gangen en kamers waar je heerlijk kunt rondwandelen. Het personeel was vriendelijk en de service was uitstekend. Qua locatie is het kasteel omgeven door bomen en bevindt het zich in een chique buurt. Het enige nadeel was dat er 's avonds geen mogelijkheid was om te dineren in het hotel en er geen wellnessfaciliteiten waren zoals een sauna of bubbelbad. Maar al met al een fantastische plek om tot rust te komen!
