The hotel had a fantastic location with a beautiful lake view. It was conveniently close to the ropeway and the sightseeing boat, making it easy to explore the area. The cleanliness of the hotel was impressive and the staff was friendly. Transportation was not an issue as the hotel provided a free shuttle service and it also had parking facilities. Additionally, the breakfast provided was a great experience.

I had a wonderful stay at this luxurious 4-star hotel overlooking a picturesque lake. The location on a peaceful hill provided breathtaking views of Lake Kawaguchi, which I could appreciate from my room. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. The spacious rooms were well equipped with amenities such as heating, air conditioning, in-room safe, free toiletries, and a flat-screen TV. The dining experience was exceptional, with a delicious kaiseki dinner that included a detailed explanation of each dish. The leisure facilities, including the hot spring bath, provided a perfect way to relax and unwind.

The hotel is situated in a great location with beautiful views of the lake and even the mountains. It is conveniently located right next to the cable car, making it easy to go up and see Mount Fuji. The staff is welcoming and provides excellent service, even going out of their way to help with translations and provide information. The room, bathroom, and facilities are comfortable and well-maintained. The breakfast and dinners offered are delicious and satisfying.

There could be more frequent shuttle services to and from the hotel, especially during the hours between 11am-2pm, as this was the designated time to leave and return but navigating the steep hill can be challenging for some guests.

Wow, the view from Rakuyu is absolutely breathtaking. I couldn't tear my eyes away from the stunning scenery of Kawaguchiko Lake and the surrounding mountains. The peaceful atmosphere and hot spring with panoramic views made me feel truly relaxed. The kaiseki dinner was a fantastic culinary experience, with delicious and beautifully presented dishes. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed, including a small snack and a great selection of teas. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and provided excellent service throughout my stay. I had a wonderful time at Rakuyu and would definitely recommend it.

Easy station pick-up, affordable payphones, fantastic dinner and comfortable beds with a lovely view of Lake Kawaguchiko. Kind English-speaking staff and a wonderful onsen experience. Well-supplied onsen washing area.

Felt warm, no reason to complain.

The location of this hotel is not ideal as there is not much to do or see nearby. However, there is a cable car next to the hotel that takes you up the mountain for a great view of Mount Fuji. The hotel itself is on a hilltop with magnificent views of Kawaguchiko lake. The rooms are spacious and have big picture windows to enjoy the scenery. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful, attending to all of our needs. The breakfast provided is traditional and filling, with rice, miso soup, fish, and other small dishes.

The wifi in this hotel is only available in the lobby, which is inconvenient.

The free cookies and juice were a nice touch, as were the markers to decorate the slippers. the view from the room was stunning and the location was walkable to the downtown area.

The room was not properly cleaned and smelled musty. the staff was not helpful and did not speak English well, making communication difficult.

Our stay at Rakuyu was simply magical. We were in awe of the magnificent views of Lake Kawaguchiko from our room. The private onsen with its hot mineral pools provided a truly relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, picking us up from the train station and offering drop-offs when we needed them. The traditional Japanese-style room added to the authentic ryokan experience. Despite a slight discomfort with the thin mattress and quilt, we appreciated the cultural immersion. The breakfast, although a set menu, was a delightful taste of Japanese cuisine. our time at Rakuyu was unforgettable, and we highly recommend it for a peaceful and romantic getaway.
