The staff went above and beyond, providing friendly and helpful service. The dinner was absolutely superb, with Michelin star-quality taste and beautiful presentation. Don't miss trying the local beer and plum wine. The morning onsen experience was heavenly, followed by a delicate and delicious breakfast. The location is convenient, right across from the bus stop, and the room was comfortable with a lovely sun room.

My partner and I stayed here during our Kumano Kodo hike for 1 night in a traditional room. The view from our room had a quaint nostalgic feel, overlooking the smaller roofs in the area and the surrounding mountains. The food served in a private dining room was superb, with 100 dishes of local delicacies. The staff was wonderful and attentive, with good English communication. Our room had a private toilet and sink, which was convenient. The onsen facilities were large and authentic.

One minor area for improvement would be the pillow comfort, but that can easily be remedied by bringing your own pillow if needed.

The location of the inn was very convenient, being right across from the bus stop for the Kumano Kodo. This made it easy for us to explore the area and the famous pilgrimage route. Additionally, the outdoor hot bath was a highlight, especially at night in the rain. It was a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience.

The facility was in a state of disrepair. There were leaks and the bath in our room was broken.
