Clean and modern aesthetics throughout the hotel.

Unfortunately, my stay was marred by several issues. The breakfast bar offered eggs that were overly cheesy and sausage that was disappointingly dry. Additionally, the pool was too cool for my son, and we couldn't enjoy it fully. With a lack of necessary amenities like Tesla chargers and poor cell phone service, it made for a frustrating experience overall.

Unfortunately, my experience was not as smooth as I hoped. Additionally, the front desk staff seemed overwhelmed and unprepared, impacting my overall satisfaction during my stay.

Santa Cruz is a culinary haven! The free breakfast was a delightful start to the day, complemented by the rich and bold Italian coffee that perked me right up. The cleanliness of the room was also top-notch, making it feel like a haven amidst the culinary chaos.

Just sharing our stay with you. We were on the 2nd floor, and the above guests let their kids run wild until 11pm! The water pipes were so loud I thought I was at a concert. We've never had such a loud hotel experience—definitely not the rest we needed after exploring.

The location was super cool, close to the beach! Rooms were clean and that bed? So lekker comfy! Brekkie options were solid too, had a decent start to the day with good coffee.

Clean room, comfortable bed, with a delightful breakfast featuring hot sausage patties and fresh pastries that truly started my day on a positive note, complemented by the hotel's proximity to beautiful redwood forests just four miles away.

Everything great.

the room was clean and well-kept, perfect for a quick stay. i appreciated the underground parking (easy access) and the breakfast area was surprisingly well-stocked for a busy morning. very welcoming staff made all the difference.

We had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Santa Cruz! The room was spacious and super clean—think of it as your favorite nook at home, but with a plush duvet and a view of the indoor parking garage. The heated pool was a delightful splash of fun, truly akin to an unexpected dip in the ocean on a summer day. Not to mention, the location is like a treasure map leading us to Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, where we marveled at the majestic trees that seemed to whisper secrets of the ages. The breakfast spread was a solid kickstart, perfect for fueling our adventures! Who needs bacon when you’ve got a muffin that feels like a hug from Grandma?
