The value for money at this hostel was incredible, with clean and well-equipped private rooms at a great price. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the historic area and close to restaurants, cafes, and shops. The staff were super helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

The common area had everything we needed, and the staff went above and beyond to provide excellent service, even making us pancakes! The location was perfect, within walking distance to the main attractions and a short walk to the train station. I also appreciated the nearby 100 yen store for budget-friendly shopping. great value for money, friendly staff, and convenient location.

I recently stayed at a hostel in Kyoto for a few days, and it was a fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing unique local information that made my stay even better. The sleeping pods were clean and comfortable, with individual lockable storage for added security. The towels were refreshed daily, and the showering products provided were excellent, including razors and combs. The kitchen and dining facilities looked great, and there was even unlimited cold filtered water available. I highly recommend this hostel and would happily stay here again.

I had such a fantastic time at the Ryokan Hostel Gion in Kyoto. The traditional Japanese design and cleanliness of the beds, bathroom, toilet, and common areas exceeded my expectations. The attention to detail was evident throughout my stay. The mix beds share setup created a warm and friendly atmosphere. I will definitely be returning and recommending this place to all my friends.

While the hotel was perfect in many ways, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. the new hotel had a slight smell which I hope will diminish over time.
