For the price we paid, we got great value. The room was spacious and beautifully furnished in authentic Japanese style. The location was convenient, within walking distance to Ueno Park and the Tokyo National Museum. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

Fantastic location and price for a Tokyo ryokan. Really convenient to have two computers for guests' use. Loved the green tea provided in the room. the nearby chicken skewer restaurant was delicious and had a great selection of drinks. Ueno station being just a 10-minute walk away made it easy to get around Tokyo for free with a Japan rail card.

Two nights was probably enough to explore the area. the drier in the hotel didn't dry our clothes properly.
