A public bathroom situation for showers feels beneath the price point!!! The hotel could consider offering a shower option in the rooms for more privacy, making it more suitable for those who prefer that convenience!!!

It was just a good match for a weekend excursion in Yamanouchi (Nagano) with all in all brilliant value for money. The indoor and outdoor hot spring baths were really comfortable and made for a relaxing experience after a long day. Be sure to try the kaiseki dinner for a unique taste of local cuisine.

Heaps of good vibes and the food was choice. Just wished the room had a shower, instead of only the onsen. Overall, sweet as experience!

It is an inviting hotel with wonderfully large traditional rooms and a private outdoor onsen with picturesque views, and still life painting activities available for guests.

Sakaeya in Shibu Onsen offers excellent hospitality, making it great for families. The staff were accommodating, especially with meal preferences for kids, and the private dining experience was enjoyable. While the outdoor onsen was under renovation during my stay, they provided thoughtful compensations. A clear layout of additional meal costs during check-in would improve the experience.

We stayed in a Japanese-Style Superior Quadruple Room with air conditioning and a private bathroom. The indoor and outdoor onsen were amazing. We had yukata. Dinner was a kaiseki feast, super delicious! Lots of local ingredients, and the apple juice was a must.

Our stay was nothing short of amazing! The in-room onsen was super relaxing, and the karaoke room made for a great evening with friends. If I had to nitpick, the walls were a bit thin, but honestly, it didn’t take away from our awesome time. 🎤

had an amazin stay at sakaeya! the room was super spacious and cozy, perfect for our family. loved the private onsens and the food was simply delicious, especially the traditional breakfast. the staff was super friendly and made us feel like royalty! the yukatas were a nice touch for exploring the area too!

only downside was that the dinner options were kinda limited and the walls were a bit thin, so noises from the hallway were noticeable.
