The Machiya Ebisuya in Kyoto provided us with a truly luxurious and comfortable stay. The location of this place was fantastic, situated in a great neighborhood close to popular attractions such as Nishiki Market and public transportation. We loved how convenient it was to explore the city from here. The staff at this hotel was incredibly helpful and kind, always going above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. Their service, housekeeping, and attention to detail were impeccable.

Set in a great neighborhood, The Machiya Ebisuya is surrounded by plenty of options for food and is near popular attractions. The rooms are comfortable, with lovely furnishings and modern amenities, like a built-in washing machine/dryer. The staff is helpful and kind, providing top-notch service. Guests can enjoy a Japanese bath at the end of the day, and the location is in a quiet area for a peaceful stay.

It would have been nice to have a couple more towels provided.

The location was great as it was walking distance to train stations and had convenience stores nearby. The room was also comfortable and had a washing machine/dryer combo, which was really convenient for a city trip. The front desk staff were helpful in providing recommendations for local activities to try out.

The soundproofing in the rooms was poor, so loud noises from nearby facilities can be a problem. there were no "do not disturb" signs, so the cleaning staff would sometimes come in unexpectedly and disrupt our sleep.

The room at Machiya Ebisuya was beautifully furnished and had a comfortable size. The location was convenient, with Nishiki Market and public transportation just a short walk away. The Japanese bath was a relaxing way to end the day, and having a washer/dryer in the room was a great added bonus. I highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay.
