The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the JR station and the centralized shopping districts, making it easy to explore the city. The stunning seaview from the rooms is a definite bonus, and the large room size ensures a comfortable stay. The staff is courteous and goes out of their way to provide helpful information about the onsen and nearby sightseeing spots. On top of that, the onsen water provided for your bathtub gives you an authentic and relaxing experience.

The wait for hot water in the shower can be quite long, which can be frustrating at times.

Excellent location - close to JR station and town centre, next to the seafront. Helpful and hospitable staff - some with good English, others trying their best. Great meals - both dinner and breakfast. Welcoming and VIP treatment - staff stored our luggage before check-in. Relaxing onsen area - highly recommended. Classic Ryokan style with spacious rooms. Super helpful staff - some with perfect English. Amazing private onsen with sea view.

My stay at Hotel New Matsumi was wonderful. The traditional Japanese breakfast exceeded my expectations and the onsen provided a breathtaking sea view. The location, close to the bus station and department store, made getting around easy. Despite some minor flaws, the staff was helpful and friendly.

I had a fantastic stay at this luxurious hotel by the sea. The location was perfect, right on the beachfront, providing breathtaking views of the ocean. The service here was top-notch, with friendly and helpful staff who spoke English fluently. The room I stayed in was spacious and clean, equipped with modern amenities like air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, and a refrigerator. I especially loved the comfortable sitting area, perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring.

Went to a hotel in Kyushu with my family for a Thanksgiving getaway. The view from our room was spectacular, nothing spoiling the view of the ocean. We were given an estimate of the sunrise time for each day of our stay, which was really helpful as it allowed us to plan ahead. The best part of our stay was the delicious breakfast we enjoyed every morning. It was cheap and the quality was great.

The hotel's public pools, both indoor and outdoor, were quite small and a bit underwhelming. We were looking forward to taking a dip but it was mostly crowded with kids.
