This hotel in the center of the onsen town exceeded my expectations in many ways. the value for the price was outstanding. The traditional Japanese-style rooms with a view were comfortable and cozy. Additionally, the breakfast, which was included and served with many courses, was absolutely delicious.

There was nothing to complain about during my stay.

The rooms were spacious and had a nice view of the river. the owner and his family were incredibly kind and helpful, providing great advice and even driving me to the snow monkey park. the ryokan had an onsen, which was very convenient.

The bathing area was small and not the best. Although the hotel was not part of the chain that allows access to the special onsens, they had a partnership with another vendor where you could borrow a key, but it was a bit of a time crunch trying to visit all the baths.

We had a fantastic experience at a charming onsen in Yamanouchi. They provided transportation to and from the train station, which was extremely helpful with our heavy luggage. The family running the onsen were warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The highlight was the delicious traditional Japanese breakfast they served us each morning. The location was also convenient for visiting the nearby snow monkey park. a wonderful stay that we highly recommend.

My stay at this traditional ryokan was a wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the owners made me feel welcome and took care of all my needs. Although there were no shower facilities in the ryokan, the onsen provided a unique and enjoyable way to relax and cleanse. While the lack of shower facilities in the ryokan may not be ideal for some, the onsen experience more than made up for it. Additionally, communication with the staff was a bit challenging due to the language barrier.

Friendly staff, helpful and picked us up from train station. Delightful district with shops, restaurants, and hot baths. Japanese breakfast delicious. Room larger than expected, well heated.

As bike riders, we loved the convenient pick-up and drop-off service provided by the hosts. The traditional design and renovated interiors of the ryokan created a cozy and authentic atmosphere. The spacious and comfortable rooms, as depicted in the pictures, were perfect for a relaxing stay. The breakfast served in Japanese style was delicious and beautifully presented. The onsen, both in the ryokan and across the street, provided a soothing and rejuvenating experience. The friendly and helpful hosts even arranged a visit to the Snow Monkey park for us. we felt welcomed and pampered during our stay.

The traditional room was spacious and relaxing, and sleeping on the floor was a unique experience. The onsen in the hotel were also very soothing. Exploring the cute Shibu Onsen town was a highlight, and we found some delightful restaurants and cake shops. Even though the dinner seemed a bit expensive, everything else made up for it. I highly recommend this hotel for its amazing experience and friendly hosts.

As bike riders, we loved the convenience of being able to explore everything in Shibu Onsen on foot. The highlight of our stay was definitely seeing the monkeys in the onsen, and the hotel owners were kind enough to provide transportation to and from the location. The Thai massage by the lady hotel owner was a unique and relaxing experience. The breakfast and dinner at the hotel were outstanding, especially the dinner. The hotel's natural onsen was the best in the area, providing a truly relaxing bathing experience.

Throughout our stay, we felt very secure and nothing was too much trouble for the hotel owners.
