The location of the hotel at the top of a hill offers stunning views of the town and mountains. Great service from the moment we arrived, with a valet attending to our car and our luggage sent straight to our room. Our guest host, Ana, made us feel at home and shared interesting insights about life in the area. The outdoor spring bath attached to our room provided a memorable experience, allowing us to relax in warm water while enjoying the beautiful autumn foliage.

We stayed in a charming hotel in a remote location, easily accessible from Nagoya. The Hida Express train took us right to the hotel, where we were greeted by friendly staff. Our room overlooked the town of Gero and had a private onsen. The service was impeccable, with a server dedicated to ensuring our comfort in the restaurant. The breakfast served in the common dining area was delicious, and we enjoyed the peacefulness of the hilltop location.

We were in Japan for two weeks and the one night we were here there was cold rain all afternoon and night. It was the perfect place to be "stuck". We soaked in the onsen, had a kaiseki dinner, explored the hotel, did the stamp rally, and stopped by the Moonlight Lounge for drinks and karaoke. Everyone was so kind and fun. When we arrived by taxi a couple hours before check in they grabbed our luggage and sent us back to town. Glad our taxi was still there and he drove us back to town. This place is quirky. I got lost in the rambling halls and I guarantee you will not stay anywhere else quite like it!

This hotel is a luxurious paradise, fulfilling every exclusive amenity we desired. From the open-air hot spring bath to the in-room breakfast, we were pampered with exceptional service. the massage was heavenly, and the bar area was perfect for unwinding.

The only downside we experienced was the noise level from other guests. this minor issue was quickly forgotten as we were mesmerized by the hotel's beautiful scenery and breathtaking privacy.
