the outdoor bath overlooking forests was just stunning for relaxation. limited shuttle service made getting into town a bit tricky.

Staying at Tokinoniwa was like living in a beautifully crafted zen garden where I could truly unwind! The semi-open-air onsen bath in my room was like my very own slice of heaven, making me feel like royalty as I soaked while gazing at stunning mountain views. The complimentary late-night ramen was a delightful cherry on top, making my midnight cravings feel truly gourmet!

It was just an optimal selection for a weekend getaway in Kusatsu with good price-value balance. The semi-open-air bath in the room was fantastic for unwinding after a long day. Try to enjoy the view from your balcony as it's breathtaking!

Tokinoniwa offers a lovely ryokan experience with spacious, clean rooms and a private onsen in the room, perfect for relaxation. While the food was decent, it might not stand out compared to other ryokans. Take note of the shuttle schedule and consider staying longer to fully enjoy Kusatsu.

We absolutely loved our stay at Tokinoniwa! Our Superior Twin Room was spacious and featured tatami flooring along with a delightful semi-open-air bath where we relaxed after our day. The views from our room were breathtaking, and the kind staff provided excellent service the entire time. Plus, the food was good, especially breakfast with its authentic Japanese touches!

I was disappointed with the food quality. The dinner didn't meet my expectations, and it felt lacking compared to other ryokans I've experienced. Additionally, the open-air rock bath was always crowded, making it hard to fully enjoy a private soak. Although my room's semi open-air bath was nice, I truly wanted to try the rock bath because of its reputation.

The staff were super friendly, the room was spacious and clean. The private onsen bath was a total treat to have. Loved lounging in the beautiful Japanese garden with free coffee and tea. Breakfast was a delicious highlight!

The room was awesome! We had a Deluxe Twin Room with a semi-open-air bath which was great for unwinding. Loved the spacious tatami area and the cool vibe. Plus, the private bath was easy to fill up remotely, so no waiting around! Only wish dinner options had been better, but breakfast was on point. Totally worth it for the onsen experience!
