Short walk from slow boat. Close to restaurants and bars. Lovely bungalow with beautiful balcony and amazing view. Delicious fish curry. Kind and welcoming owner. Amazing lunch provided.

We were delighted to arrive at a hotel right by the banks of the Mekong river, with a stunning view from our room. The location was convenient for exploring the area, as the pier and a restaurant were just across the road. The room itself was spacious and rustic, providing us with a comfortable and authentic experience. The bathroom had plenty of hot water and toiletries, ensuring a pleasant shower experience. the hotel's location and room facilities enhanced our stay.

We did find that the lack of air conditioning or additional fans made the room quite hot during the day, especially with only one ceiling fan.

This hotel is a hidden gem nestled on a hill overlooking the Mekong River. The location is perfect, right above the pier where the boat dropped us off. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with a lovely balcony where we could relax and admire the breathtaking views. Additionally, the attention to detail in this hotel is superb, making it a great value for money.

All in all, I had a fantastic stay and cannot think of anything that could be improved.

Beautiful location with amazing views of the Mekong River. The private bungalows were cozy and charming. I loved waking up to the sight of elephants bathing across the river in the morning. The breakfast provided was simple but satisfying, with fried eggs, toast, and fruit. Despite a few bugs in the room, the mosquito net kept them at bay. I would recommend this hotel for a one night stay in a picturesque setting.

The room had a unique and inviting atmosphere with rattan walls and a fan. The restaurant had reasonably priced food and a good menu selection. The location offered an incredible view, and the staff were welcoming and helpful.

The view from the room was breathtaking, with great views of the river. the location was excellent, with plenty of local shops and markets nearby. the staff was also very friendly and accommodating.

The room was quite basic and lacked many amenities that we are used to. the shower had low water pressure and was not very hot.

We arrived in Pakbeng on the slowboat and Mekong Riverside Lodge was conveniently located near the wharf. They even provided a pick-up service from the dock, making our check-in process simple and hassle-free. Our room had a lovely balcony overlooking the river, perfect for relaxing in the evening or enjoying a pleasant morning. The hotel's proximity to restaurants made it easy for us to explore the local dining options. Additionally, the breakfast at the on-site restaurant was included and they even went above and beyond by ensuring I didn't miss out on it when I accidentally left early.

My Window Opened Upon the Mekong River - Just like in the database reviews, I had a room with a stunning view of the Mekong River. I could see elephants being washed on the other side, creating a truly memorable experience.

Great Views and Spacious Rooms: We were lucky to have a room with a terrace that offered breathtaking views. the spacious room provided us with enough space to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring.

Basic Amenities: the rooms were quite basic and lacked amenities like air conditioning, a television, refrigerator, and a tea kettle. This made our stay slightly uncomfortable, especially as it was during the Christmas season when we wanted to relax and enjoy some downtime.
