I recently had a delightful stay at Almaplena in Mahahual. I was there for a short time and found the location to be perfect, with easy access to the beach and a beautiful reef for snorkeling. The hotel had excellent facilities and the staff were friendly and attentive. It was a pleasure to have Enrique take care of us during our meals and Maite, the manager, provided us with great insider tips. The room was lovely, with a nice terrace and tasteful decor. I highly recommend this hotel.

We definitely got great value for our money at this small, relaxed hotel. The room was nice and comfortable, with a great walkout to the private beach. The location was beautiful, surrounded by jungle and a private beach. The staff treated us wonderfully, providing excellent and helpful service.

We had a fantastic getaway at Almaplena Boutique. The room was beautifully designed for romance, and the Italian owners were welcoming and gracious. I had the most amazing stay at this beachfront hotel. The location was absolutely perfect - right on the beach, with no seaweed in sight. The cleanliness of the hotel was top-notch, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The hotel facilities were excellent, and I especially loved the fact that they provided free snorkel gear. The breakfast served was delicious, and the staff was always friendly and helpful.

There were a few negative aspects to our stay. The beach outside of the hotel was not well-maintained, with garbage washing ashore from the sea.
