As a solo female traveler, safety was a top priority for me and Selina provided a secure and welcoming atmosphere. The staff made me feel right at home and their friendly demeanor truly stood out. I initially booked a standard room but upgraded to a unique room with a gorgeous ocean view balcony. Selina offers a variety of activities such as yoga, surf, and muay thai, all of which were fantastic. The rooftop patio offered stunning sunset views and was perfect for capturing memorable pictures. The overall vibe of the hotel was cool and the people I met there were interesting and friendly. Thumbs up to Edson at the reception and Ben, the great bartender!

I recently stayed at a hostel in a great location with beautiful views of Playa Zicatela. It was just a short walk into town or I could rent a bike on-site to explore other beaches in Puerto Escondido. The hostel had two pools, which was a huge perk considering the rough ocean waters. The vegetarian options at the hostel were delicious and affordable, and they even had a convenient bar on-site. Despite the hostel hosting events most nights, my room was quiet and comfortable with A/C. I had a great experience at Selina.

I got great value for my money at Selina! The room was amazing, with a beautiful ocean view from the balcony. The location was perfect, right on the Main Street in front of Zicatela beach, and I felt safe walking back to the hostel at night by myself. The staff were friendly and helpful, making it easy to arrange surf lessons and tours. The communal areas were fantastic, with plenty of spaces to relax, work, and socialize. I highly recommend Selina for a wonderful stay in Puerto Escondido!

We spent Christmas at a hotel in Oaxaca and it was amazing! the complementary welcome drinks and holiday snacks were a perfect touch. the hotel had an excellent location, just steps away from the beach and close to many restaurants and shops. We also enjoyed the daily events at the hotel, including live music and movie nights.

There were a few communication issues between the restaurant staff and reception, resulting in unexpected charges for breakfast. However, the staff was friendly and quickly resolved the issue.
