The tranquil atmosphere at Makaaba was delightful.

Unfortunately, my experience was marred by several issues. The lack of door to the bathroom in our King Room with Balcony was quite disconcerting. Additionally, it was frustrating that the WiFi did not reach our room, making it challenging to stay connected. Lastly, while I appreciated the stylish design, the communal areas felt like the highlight compared to the room's ambiance.

The breakfast had an amazing variety of fresh options.

Unfortunately, my experience was quite frustrating. The air conditioning in my room was leaking, and despite calling for maintenance, they didn't arrive until late in the evening. Additionally, the bathroom could have been cleaner, as I noticed some mold appearing. While some staff were friendly, the check-in experience felt rushed, and I didn't feel welcomed at first.

The brekkie was unforgettable, two delish meals and a drink, really sets the tone for the day. The pool area was a proper chill spot, surrounded by lush trees, was just what I needed. And those paddle tours? Highlight of the trip, 100%!

Eina, the room had a weird smell at times, just a bit off, but not a dealbreaker. All else was tight so didn’t dampen the mood too much.

The friendly staff made my stay enjoyable from arrival to departure. I loved the terrace for coffees in the morning, and the cocktails at the bar were a nice treat after exploring. I appreciated the continental breakfast options, especially the traditional dishes. Borrowing beach towels was practical since I forgot mine. A standout moment was lying in the hammock outside my room at night, taking in the stars with my partner. My stay was refreshing and peaceful.

WiFi was a bit spotty and the electricity went out a few times. However, I don't believe the electricity was a fault on the hotel as it looked like the whole block was out of electricity.

The pool area is spectacular with numerous lounging options and a fantastic bar serving amazing cocktails. Breakfast is a delightful highlight, featuring a variety of both Western and Mexican dishes.

The communal areas eclipsed the rooms in charm, which felt rather cramped. While attentive, some staff lacked warmth during the check-in process, leaving a less-than-welcoming impression.

i loved the cozy atmosphere of makaaba eco-boutique , the lush greenery surrounding the pool and the inviting lounging areas made for a perfect retreat. the breakfast was a highlight every morning, offering both sweet and savory dishes! the location is convenient, just a short stroll to the lagoon and local eateries.

hotel makaaba eco-boutique is super chill! the pool area is awsome w/ hammocks and places to relax. breakfast was da bomb, so much good food and fresh stuff. staff is really friendly, they helped me find local spots to check out. the vibe here just makes you wanna stay longer!

but the room was kinda small and did feel cramped for 2 ppl, also the a/c was leaking water when we were there.
