we had a great experience staying at Makaaba Eco-Boutique. Check-in was quick and easy, and we were even able to check-in early. The location of the hotel is ideal, with it being within walking distance of the town center, yet still quiet. The design of the property is unique and eco-friendly, with interesting elements like hammocks over the pool and swings over the water. The bar and lounge area provided a great atmosphere for relaxing and enjoying the pool view. The shower was excellent, with hot water and fluffy towels. The included breakfast was delicious, with various options to choose from.

The location of this hotel is amazing, with striking views. The luxury amenities in the hotel lived up to my exclusive desires. The rooftop pool and sun terrace offer a stunning view of the surroundings and are perfect for relaxation.

The service was disorganized as we had to remind the staff twice to clean our room.

The pool area was a great place to relax, both during the day and at night, with a bar available for drinks. The breakfast was exceptional, especially the Conchinita Pibil taco that was absolutely amazing. The hotel's central location allowed for easy walking access to the town center and the lagoon. It's truly the best place to enjoy the beauty of Bacalar.

The rooms are comfortable, with a king-sized bed that provides a good night's sleep. The staff is attentive and helpful, making sure all your needs are met. The breakfast served here is fantastic, with a variety of options to choose from. The sitting areas throughout the hotel are a great addition, allowing guests to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

One negative aspect is that the bathroom in some of the rooms is separated from the main area by a curtain instead of a solid door. This can lack some privacy for guests.

Although we enjoyed our stay, there were some things we found fault in. The cleanliness of the room left something to be desired, and we had to call for maintenance at night to fix a leaking AC. some staff seemed uninterested in assisting us during check-in.
