The location was perfect for visiting Calakmul the next day. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed and excellent air conditioning. The friendly lady at the reception gave us great dinner recommendations and served us breakfast on the rooftop terrace so we could enjoy the sunrise.

I had a great overnight stay at a clean and simple place in Xpujil before visiting the amazing archeological sites of Rio Bec and Calakmul. The location was perfect, just one block away from the highway, providing a relatively quiet environment. The room I stayed in was huge for the price, with separate beds and plenty of space. The air conditioning was positioned above the beds, so it didn't blow directly into our faces. The room had a sink and a separate bathroom, all in good shape. Plus, the hotel offered free parking behind a gate, which was a great convenience. The hotel itself was well-maintained and clean, making my stay more than satisfying. Despite a few minor issues like the room not being equipped for three people initially and some confusion with the coffee charge, these were easily resolved by talking to the front desk. I had a comfortable and spacious room, a convenient location, and a pleasant experience at Villa Calakmul. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area!
