Friendly staff, good air conditioning, but wifi was poor and lift was down.

Location is fantastic, just a 5-minute walk to the malecon and restaurants. The shower nozzle was broken, and the shower doors didn't close properly.

The room was quite nice, I had an upgrade to a full bed, and everything was very clean. The hot water pressure was delightful, and the internet worked everywhere, even on the rooftop! Perfect location with tasty taco stands around the corner.

However, I did feel like I was sleeping on a rock! And on the main street, every night was like a live concert—without the good music!

stayed at portonovo plaza malecon for 2 nights, and the location was perfect! just 3 blocks from the north end of the malecon and close to great restaurants in old town. breakfast was really good, and i appreciated the friendly staff during the morning service.

Great location near the Malecon and heaps of tasty taco spots. But my room was a bit noisy and smaller than I expected. Breakfast was decent enough, though.

I visited for a short getaway to enjoy the local attractions, and I appreciated the convenient location just a short walk from the Malecon and great dining in the area. The air conditioning was excellent, keeping the room comfortable during the hot days. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast variety each morning, which helped kickstart my adventures around town.

The room was quite small. noise from the hallway echoed throughout the night! Also, some light fixtures didn't work, which was annoying. Improvement in upkeep could greatly enhance the stay.

I enjoyed the buffet breakfast (the scrambled eggs were a hit! ). The rooftop pool had a breathtaking view of the city—and the cleaning staff kept everything spotless!

I had a good stay. the breakfast was delicious and the pool was a nice bonus, but my room was quite small and lacked some amenities. I'd consider coming back.

But I could have done without the cockroach visit and the leaking shower that made my room feel like a water park! Let's just say, I wasn't expecting a real-life game of 'flood the floor. '

portonovo plaza malecon is super central, just a short walk to the beach. the air conditioning worked great, keeping us cool during our stay. the room service was quick and helpful, and we loved how lively the neighborhood was. it’s budget-friendly and had a nice selection at breakfast to start the day.
