As a disabled guest, I really appreciated the accessible facilities at The Pickled Onion. The spacious and beautifully decorated room allowed for easy maneuverability, and the presence of a fridge in the room was a pleasant surprise. The comfortable bed, along with the air conditioning and fan, ensured a restful night's sleep. The friendly staff were always on hand to provide assistance and helpful tips about the surrounding area. The breakfast served at the gorgeous patio was not only delicious but also offered a wide selection. The pool, surrounded by indigenous trees and plants, was a welcome facility to relax in after a long day of exploring. the attention to detail in the design and layout of the B&B, combined with the warmth of the staff, created a truly enjoyable experience.

The location of this eco-boutique B&B is perfect for exploring the ruins of the Ruta Puuc. It is right in the centre of the Ruta Puuc, close to Uxmal ruins, and very close to a lot of amazing Maya sites such as Uxmal but also less known sites which will let you feel like an early explorer. The casita we stayed in had a beautifully decorated room with a comfortable bed, a spacious bathroom with a large shower, and even a private front patio. The breakfast was generous and delicious, offering a great start to the day.

The lack of air conditioning in the rooms, which made it quite warm at night.

This hotel is a hidden gem just off the main highway on the side of a small hill. The rooms are spacious, with comfortable beds, private terraces, and modern amenities including A/C. The attention to detail by the staff is truly impressive, from the shady spots each with its own little path to the delicious breakfast served in a beautiful garden surrounded by birds.

Everything was just perfect!

This place is an oasis. Book it, don't even hesitate. The large grounds are gorgeous, shady, lush and well maintained. The restaurant here was so good we didn't need to go searching anywhere else. The pool was fantastic, lots of chaise lounges to sit in, and even a hammock over the water. The thatched roof rooms are charming and nestled in shady spots each with its own little path. Rooms have small table and chairs outside, which are appreciated. It was nice that they refill water bottles because constantly buying drinking water from plastic bottles is not sustainable. Valerie, who owns the place, likes to visit with guests in the morning and is a wealth of information and fun history. If I could live here, I would!

I recently stayed at The Pickled Onion Eco-Boutique B&B for a few days during my visit to Uxmal. The hotel's location near the ruins and the chocolate museum was perfect. The beautiful garden with its small Mayan houses and swimming pool provided a serene and relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast with its delicious fresh fruits was a great way to start the day. The owner, Valerie, was incredibly kind and attentive to her guests, ensuring a wonderful stay. I highly recommend this unique and charming hotel.

We stayed at the Pickled Onion for one night while visiting the nearby Uxmal ruins. The hotel's unique and inviting vibe, beautiful gardens, and refreshing pool made for a relaxing stay. The rooms were cool and well-equipped, with a balcony providing a lovely view. Valerie, the owner, ensured we had everything we needed and her hands-on approach made us feel at home. The margaritas and dinner were delicious, and the breakfast was the best we had in Mexico. We will definitely return.
