The location of the lodge is absolutely stunning, overlooking Laguna Apolo. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with outdoor relaxing areas and attached showers in a garden setting. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they even arrange transportation for guests. The food at the lower bar location is always well prepared and tasty. Complimentary breakfast is made to order and served fresh, and the view from the lodge is spectacular. Plus, guests have access to kayaks and tubes for the lagoon.

The entire hotel/grounds should be made non-smoking to improve the experience.

The beach area was perfect for water tubing and swimming, and the kids absolutely loved it. The lodge provided beach towels and kayaks, which made exploring the crystal-clear waters even more exciting. The whole experience felt like a true adventure, and we made memories that will last a lifetime.

For dads, it would be great if the lodge offered more family-friendly activities or games to keep the kids entertained during the evenings.

It is a peaceful and serene place to relax and unwind. the staff are friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with anything you need. the food is delicious and reasonably priced, especially the fresh gazpacho and the 'sombrero' dessert. the hotel also offers laundry services at a very reasonable fee.

The lack of clear signage and the bumpy track leading to the lodge can be a bit challenging, especially if you are driving yourself. It would be helpful to have clear directions before setting off.

As youngsters, we had a blast at San Simian Lodge! The warm lake for swimming, kayaking, and the nearby hiking trails were amazing. Daniel and Rachel were welcoming hosts and the rooms were clean and well-appointed. The food at the restaurant was excellent and we loved relaxing in the hammocks. The owner gave us great recommendations for activities and arranged affordable transportation for us. a personalized and enjoyable stay!

The daily room cleaning and fresh sheets/towels were a nice touch. The staff, especially Daniele, were remarkable and genuinely cared about making our stay safe and comfortable. The location was beautiful, with plenty of seating areas to relax and enjoy the lake. The swimming was excellent, and the on-site restaurant served delicious food. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

The San Simian Lodge in La Laguna offers a pleasant and clean environment with a unique design. It provides a great experience of showering al fresco with hot water. The lodge also offers good, tasty food with options for vegetarians, including veggie dishes and salads. The team at the lodge is friendly, greets guests with a smile, and speaks English fluently. Furthermore, the beautiful landscape and cute cottages with exquisitely detailed outdoor showers/bathrooms add to the overall experience.
