I recently stayed at Basecamp in Longyearbyen for a few nights and it was fantastic. The hotel design is unique and adventurous, with hidden passages and a cozy attic with a glass roof. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, assisting with arranging trips and providing complimentary hot chocolate, tea, and coffee. The location is convenient, right in the center of town with a passage to a great restaurant and a supermarket nearby. the atmosphere and amenities were excellent, making for a memorable stay.

Our stay at Basecamp was absolutely fantastic. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful in making arrangements for our adventures during our time in town. The location of the hotel was perfect, right in the heart of everything. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with plenty of options to choose from. The room itself was cozy and comfortable, with a wonderful lodge-feeling. We especially loved the common area where we could relax with a hot beverage after a long day of exploring. we had an amazing experience at Basecamp and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Svalbard.

One minor drawback was the lack of shelves or storage in the room for our clothing. It would have been nice to have a designated space for our belongings to keep the room more organized.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel in the heart of the town. The location was perfect, just steps away from the main pub and within a short walk from the supermarket and all the shops. Plus, we were right in front of a great restaurant where we enjoyed delicious meals. The convenience of being centrally located made it easy for us to explore the area and experience the local culture.

Great value for money - the unique trapper cabin concept and cozy rustic design made for a memorable stay. The location was excellent, right in the heart of town, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.

Breakfast choices could be improved - the coffee was undrinkably bitter and options for tea were limited.

The location was great and allowed me to enjoy the feeling of being up north. the people were friendly and welcoming, and the hotel itself was magical. I also enjoyed the option of dining at a nearby restaurant, which had fabulous food.

The breakfast was very basic and not satisfying. the atmosphere of the hotel was unpleasant and the staff was unhelpful, which made my experience less enjoyable.

The decor of the hotel was really nice and full of personality. I loved the cozy and rustic feel of the place. the location of the hotel was also great, right in the heart of the town. We were able to walk to many outdoor stores, cafes, and even a photography gallery. It was so convenient to have everything within walking distance.
