Historic decor makes for a cozy environment.

I loved how cozy and charming the historic decor felt. Breakfast was a delightful spread, and the underfloor heating in the bathroom was a pleasant surprise on chilly mornings.

However, the room felt a bit dark with limited natural light, and I noticed some mustiness. Plus, the noise from nearby restoration work was audible during the day.

We loved the hotel's prime location right next to the wharf, with easy access to the fish market and restaurants. The quirky historical charm and spacious room with delightful decor made our stay very enjoyable.

The only downside was some street noise at night, which was a bit distracting.

Staying at Det Hanseatiske Hotel was a delight! The blend of historical charm and modern comfort was remarkable. The spacious room with high ceilings and the fantastic breakfast each morning were definite highlights. I felt welcomed by the friendly staff who were eager to share tips on local attractions, adding a personal touch to my experience.

Exceptional breakfast buffet with a wide variety!

My stay at Det Hanseatiske Hotel left me rather disappointed. The check-in experience was frustrating, as the receptionist seemed both abrupt and unhelpful. Additionally, the noise from the floor above disturbed my sleep at night. it felt like there was no soundproofing whatsoever. And to top it off, my room had a leaking sink stopper and minimal lighting, creating an overall dreary atmosphere.

Charming old building, but noise was distracting.

this hotel is a disaster. noise from the terrace kept me up all night. the breakfast options were incredibly limited, i mean, who can live on the same thing every day? i expected a special welcome or at least an upgrade after all my complaints, but i guess being treated like everyone else is the new norm here.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially at the reception and in the restaurant. Breakfast was a fantastic hot buffet offering with plenty of choices and starts early at 7 am! We were also able to leave our luggage after checkout👍.

The room was fantastic, complete with charming skylights and a spacious layout. We enjoyed the delightful breakfast each morning. It was relaxing to unwind in the cozy lounge and the well-stocked game room. The only downside was some street noise at night, but it didn't ruin our stay at all! 😊

Charming Stay with Room for Improvement

We spent two nights in a deluxe room with a lovely pitched roof. Breakfast was simple but satisfying. A tip, ask about any nearby work to ensure a peaceful stay.

It was just a great match for a brief visit in Bergen with very good value for money. The food in the hotel restaurant was outstanding, and the owner really made us feel welcome. Try to check out the menu at the restaurant. you won't be disappointed!

A bit more attention to the bathroom lighting would be great! Also, the noise from nearby nightlife could be distracting at times.
