I had a great stay at Astral Motel. The room was exactly as pictured and very comfortable. The motel had lovely gardens with swings, hammocks, and even a swimming pool. The room was spotlessly clean and had everything I needed for a short stay. The service was impeccable, and the owners were very friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend this place when visiting Whanganui. I'll definitely be back next time.

During my Christmas stay, I was pleasantly surprised by the great rates and value for money at this motel. The location was excellent, with easy access to the river, a nearby park, and a bottle shop within walking distance. The friendly manager, Michael, cooked a delicious breakfast that was served exactly at the time I ordered. Plus, the full-length mirror in the room was a bonus for us girls.

While there were some positive aspects, there were a few things that could be improved. The floors in the rooms were not carpeted, so they were cold to walk on, especially during the winter.

This hotel is definitely worth the money you pay for it. The location is great, as it sits by the river with a nice grassed garden area in front. The furnishing of the rooms, especially the solid wood bed, is amazing, and the kitchenette facilities are very useful.

The motel is conveniently located near the river and is reasonably close to central city attractions. It is also close to the Saturday market, which is a great place to explore. The rooms are spacious and clean, with good cooking facilities in the kitchen. Additionally, the staff is friendly and helpful.

The breakfast could be improved, as some guests had issues with their orders not being delivered correctly and the presentation being unappealing.

Stayed in a charming motel, like stepping back in time. Comfy bed & hot shower. Convenient location & free kitchen upgrade saved me money. Loved it!

Bed was a bit too firm and the single too soft. Could have used more power outlets.

Had a decent Easter break with my family. Liked the complementary coffee and tea in our room, and also the free parking. Good location near shopping and dining with a nice view. the beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the outdoor seating area.

The room wasn't as clean as we expected. the bathroom could have been cleaner, and there were stains on the bedding.
